SPIRIT SONG: JOURNEYS OF FAITH, LOVE, AND JUSTICE MAKING

Jim and Jean Strathdee led us through songs, stories and reflection, sharing the high points of their 40 years of music ministry to the wider church. We were invited to look back and affirm our journeys of faith, mission, love and justice- making, telling each other some tall tales as well as sharing the tender moments of our lives and becoming open to what the Spirit has in mind for us.

Jim and Jean, internationally honored hymn and song writers, worship leaders and concert artists, offer hope and encouragement bringing a message of compassion, justice and healing through a wide range of musical moods: joyful, playful, prayerful spanning a diversity of sound and style including traditional, folk, rock, jazz, and international flavors animated with guitar, piano, mandolin, harmonica and African drums. They have been involved in a number of ecumenical and inter-faith communities working for positive change throughout the US and the world. They have written hundreds of hymns, songs and anthems and recorded nearly 20 albums.
